Jill

Meet Jill – the dynamo of all things awesome, where high energy and warp-speed talent collide. In her many years at Custom Blinds & Design Jill’s style spectrum spans from modern and traditional to transitional and eclectic. No matter your taste, Jill’s infectious enthusiasm, keen eye for selecting the perfect fabrics and spot-on window treatment design will blow you away. She spends her time away from work enjoying lake days and watching her boys play sports.

Jacque

Jacque’s a design enthusiast who’s all about building relationships and finding perfect shadings for every space! With her passion for design and eye for color, she loves getting to know you, and crafting the ideal look for your home. An Omaha native and a mom to three great kids—Brock, Beckett, and Berkley—she loves soaking up off-work time with her family. Fun fact: Jacque has a degree in Visual Communications and even designed coral for the aquariums during her internship at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo!

Angie

Angie went to UNL for Marketing, with her career built on leadership, growth, and client relationships.
Her background in health and fitness, as well as her story and advocacy work with the American Heart Association, fuels her passion for helping you feel your best. Once you know her story, you’ll see why she sees everyday as a gift, and wants to make every client session positive, personal, and memorable.
Angie loves Omaha, yet enjoys traveling with her husband, staying active with fitness, and most of all, spending time with their new granddaughter.

Susan

Say hello to Susan, the design expert with an eye for color that’s been honed since her childhood days in Crete. Before joining Custom Blinds & Design in 2006, she was the talent behind her highly successful faux painting business. She is a master of color theory and can consistently guide customers in the right direction. She tunes into our customers’ preferences with precision, all while respecting their budget goals. Her journey from the world of faux painting to transforming window spaces is a testament to her versatile artistry. When she’s not wowing her clients, Susan’s grandkids keep her busy running to church programs and sporting events.

Peg

Meet Peg – your long-lost friend you’ve known for decades, even if it’s just the first time you’re meeting her. Her commitment to service and meticulous follow-up sets her apart. Whether it’s for friends, family, or clients, Peg doesn’t just take the extra step; she goes the extra mile with a smile. With roots deep in Nebraska and a heart dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences, be on the lookout for her at your next networking event, ribbon-cutting, or luncheon! Her energy is impossible to miss, and there’s always a seat saved next to her with your name on it. Indian Wells, California calls her name during the winter months spending time with family and friends.

Hannah

Meet Hannah – your personal window covering educator. Her forte is explaining the nuances and features of each product and presenting that information in a way that makes even the most complex details easy to comprehend. When she’s not transforming homes, you’ll likely find her jet-setting on travel adventures or on leisurely walks with her four-legged companion. Get ready for a memorable visit guided by the expertise and passion of our very own Hannah.

Jeff

Jeff brings a wealth of experience, with his 26 years in the interior design and home building/remodeling world. He enjoys connecting with clients, by helping you choose the ideal window coverings that meets your wishes and elevates the beauty of your space. Whether guiding clients to the perfect product or collaborating with teammates, Jeff finds fulfillment in using his God-given talents every day. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys time with his wife Becky, their son Parker, and their lively shorthair pointer, Rocky. Look for them boating on the lake, or working in the yard together.

Jackson

Meet Jackson – our newest addition to the sales team, and already a natural fit. From Alma, Nebraska, he brings sharp instincts, genuine social awareness, and the kind of intuition that makes people feel at ease from the first conversation. His favorite Hunter Douglas product? The new Aura Illuminated Shades – because who doesn’t want shades that light up? When he’s not working, you’ll find him on the golf course or spending time with his wife Kiley, a school teacher who deserves all the prayers she can get.

Meet Justin, the unstoppable force at Custom Blinds & Design who greets every challenge with a grin and a can-do attitude. Tackling obstacles isn’t just a job for him – it’s a joy. His positivity is like a burst of sunshine, and clients can’t help but rave about the “Justin experience.” Whether it’s going the extra mile for clients, being the ultimate support for his co-workers, or soaking up quality time with his family, he approaches everything with enthusiasm and warmth. His western Nebraska roots will leave you feeling like you’ve known him your whole life.

Joe

Joe’s one of the guys who played a key role in launching our company over two decades ago. Even though he left us for awhile for a family move back east, he just couldn’t stay away from Nebraska and we’re so glad he came home! As a Hunter Douglas Certified Installer, Joe seamlessly translates his wealth of manufacturing expertise into flawless installations, which will make you very happy. In his free time, Joe’s a pro in the kitchen, cooking and baking for his family.

Kirk

Say hi to Kirk, the tenured installer with over 25 years of expertise in blinds, shutters and custom treatments. Clients adore working with him not just for his speed, efficiency, and knowledge but also for his unwavering punctuality. He’s a genuinely great guy who ensures your satisfaction with your shadings before he leaves your home. With Kirk, it’s not just about installation; it’s about a seamless experience that leaves you smiling. If Kirk’s not installing window treatments, you can find him in the roping arena or serving as the president of the Wahoo PRCA Rodeo.

Greg

Meet Greg, the star behind our scheduling and service coordination. Installer turned scheduler, he’s the guy who ensures we have appropriate time blocks, the correct parts, and can easily drop quick tips and tricks over the phone to save our clients both time and money. He has a readiness to dive headfirst into any project and his keen eye for detail and impressive tech-savviness make us question how we ever went without him. Outside the professional arena, Greg wears the hats of a devoted family man and a steadfast friend who enjoys time at the lake on his jet ski or fishing.

Tom

Say hi to Tom – our analytical powerhouse with an engineering background, seamlessly blending his sharp mind with over a decade of experience in the exterior shading business. When your shade is dropped off for a little TLC, there’s a great chance that Tom is behind the quick turnaround and meticulous attention to detail. With a mantra that echoes, “When I make your day, it makes my day!” he is not just in the business of fixing shades; he’s on a mission to exceed expectations and leave clients with a smile. When out of the office, a weekend camping trip is always on Tom’s agenda.

Monty

Monty is our go-to support guy, assisting the installation team while bringing his positive attitude. With nearly 20 years of travel across 46 states, he’s thrilled to be back home in Lincoln and might even settle down (maybe). A fan of Hunter Douglas’ Powerview automation due to its simplicity and usefulness, Monty also enjoys our team’s penchant for making things better. Outside of work, you’ll find Monty hiking, walking, or just lounging in nature, and shares his life with partner Kelsey, and their Husky-mix, Rain.

Tristan

Tristan strives to give a V-I-P, 5-star-experience to every client. He loves working with people and looks forward to the challenge of figuring out how to fit new shades into any home or business. To Tristan, his attention to detail is like solving a puzzle, ensuring a clean, secure and aesthetically pleasing installation. When he’s not working, Tristan enjoys his family and also loves to go hunting and fishing, hopefully driving his monster truck to get there! He sees every day as a good day to have a great day.

Andreina

Meet Andreina – with roots tracing back to the vibrant streets of Caracas, Venezuela she now proudly anchors herself in the heart of the Midwest. With a cappuccino in hand, she takes the lead, orchestrating and coordinating administrative processes with the finesse to ensure our ship sails smoothly. Andreina’s infectious energy extends beyond her work, always adorned with a smile and laughter that lights up any room. Her warm aura makes her a beacon for positivity and we couldn’t be more blessed to have her on our team!

Lori

Meet Lori – the quiet engine behind every sale that goes right. Organized, thorough, and a genuine desire to make things run better, Lori is the kind of person who makes the complicated look easy – and enjoys doing it. Outside of work, Lori is a homebody at heart who loves time with family, a good walk and a great book. She’s a dog lover, a beach dreamer, and would love to own a horse or two!

Kelsey

Kelsey is the unsung hero of our crew, masterfully navigating the world of window covering details. A quiet leader by nature, she holds the crucial role of ensuring accuracy on all orders, guiding each one through necessary steps to completion. Her ears are always tuned in and she’s constantly looking for ways to amp up our processes. In a world that often overlooks the quiet brilliance, Kelsey shines, weaving efficiency and perfection into the fabric of our operations. Her tenure has been spent working from Utah, Florida and Texas while her husband serves in the Air Force.

Katelyn

Katelyn’s a driving force to help our team reach even greater heights. She ensures today’s clients are happy, now and into the future. Her primary responsibility is Client Fulfillment, and works hand-in-hand with our entire team, ensuring VIP-level experiences for our clients. From the first hello to the final installation and beyond, Katelyn wants to make everything WOW-worthy. If you catch her outside the office, she has her hands full with her two beautiful boys and even volunteers for the Wahoo Rodeo.

Janice

Introducing Janice, the financial expert and administrative wizard at Custom Blinds & Design. With a wealth of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, Janice brings a seasoned touch to our dynamic team. Her excitement knows no bounds as she collaborates with our team to refine and perfect our operational processes, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. When she’s not effortlessly managing numbers on her computer, you might catch her showcasing her skills on the tennis court. She’s not just a perfect match on the court – she’s the ace of our team too!

Sherri

As our founder, Sherri is the heart behind making sure your journey with Custom Blinds & Design is nothing short of unforgettable. She started this venture on a quest for something that truly fueled her passion while supporting her family, and voila, here we are – a creation from scratch. Blinds have consistently been the pathway, but the ultimate aim has always been to honor and glorify God. Shining her light with our team and our clients is front and center. Sherri empowers the Custom Blinds & Design team to make someone’s day, joyfully. Speaking of joyful, Stanpa & Mimi carve out plenty of time for their 8 grandchildren, who light up their life in ways only a grandparent could relate to.

Beyond Blinds

To us, community is about people coming together to lift each other up.

Since 2015, we’ve donated over 300,000 diapers to families in need, and have also volunteered with organizations that feed, shelter, and support our neighbors.

For example:

We’ve supported diaper drives benefiting many local organizations
We’ve served meals and packed thousands of food bags for families
We’ve helped families in crisis through moves, cleanups, and hands-on support
We’ve assisted disaster-relief efforts, after storms and community emergencies
We’ve participated in ongoing food, shoe, and hygiene kit collection drives
We’re grateful for the honor to serve our community.

A Note From Our Founder

When I started Custom Blinds & Design over 25 years ago, I was on a quest to fuel my passions and help support my family.

What began as a “one-woman shop”, grew into something so much bigger, thanks to our amazing team.

For me, it’s always been about more than window treatments. It’s about honoring God and showing up to make someone’s day. We get to do that through design, service, and connection — whether we’re helping someone love their home, serving in our community, or supporting a fellow team member.
